Angel E.R. Pointer
Angel E.R. Pointer is the director of alumni relations and engagement for South Carolina State University. She is an instrumental player who bridges the technology gap between younger and more seasoned alumni while increasing engagement and fundraising.
Background
Pointer is a 2012 SC State honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics
and a minor in computer science. She is a life member of the SC State University National
Alumni Association and a member of the Greater Charlotte Alumni Chapter, where she
serves on the Technology Committee as chair, Gala Planning Committee, Executive Board,
and the Membership Committee.
On the National level, Pointer serves as a member of the Technology, Convention Planning,
and SOT Committees, as well as the chair of the Virtual Experience/Social Media Committees.
Pointer started working for the university as an undergraduate in 2005 as a math/computer science tutor until 2010. She was an office assistant to the director of Title III from 2010-2012.
