Research and extension focused on controlled environment agriculture topics. Research areas include production in high tunnels, greenhouse, and indoor vertical farming systems. Specific areas of interest include optimization of production systems through environmental control such as light spectrum. Other areas include hydroponic production, plant breeding, vegetable grafting, specialty crop production,  and field horticultural crops.
