George E. Hicks

Dr. George Hicks is a professor of education and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership.

Background

Hicks has served SC State for more than 20 years. He served as Coordinator for the Elementary Education Program and as a Language Arts Consultant for the TLMP Project. Prior to coming to SC State, he taught for 12 years,  was an assistant principal for one year and principal for 12 years. In 2008, Hicks received the rank of full professorship.

More About Dr. George E. Hicks

is a positive person by nature, and likes people who have a similar nature. Hicks does not like people who are always making withdrawals and never making deposits because he feels they will eventually deplete one of their energy and positivity. Hicks also likes preaching and teaching, reading positive and motivating literature, cooking, gardening, speaking, singing and playing the piano, and meeting people. He enjoys traveling and cooking.
