Jae-Dong Hong

Jae-Dong Hongia is a professor teaching industrial engineering and academic program coordinator of the Industrial Engineering Program.

Background

Dr. Hong has been teaching industrial engineering at SC State since 1988. He has published more than 100 papers in various international journals and proceedings. He has received more $3M in research funding.

(1) Outstanding Achievement as President of the South Carolina Chapter of the Korean Association of Scientists and Engineers in America (KSEA), 1992. 

(2) Teacher of the Year Award for School of Engineering Technology at South Carolina State University, 1992.

(3) South Carolina State University's Teacher of the Year Award, the University's highest award for excellence in teaching, research, and service, 1993.

(4) South Carolina Governor's Distinguished Professor Award for exceptional teaching performance in a public or private institution of higher learning in South Carolina, 1994.
