Joe Mari Maja

Dr. Joe Mari Maja is senior researcher and director for the Center of Applied Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Agriculture at SC State 1890 Research & Extension.

He started working at SC State in January 2024.. He came from Clemson University, where he was a research scientist and assistant professor at the Department of Ag Science. He was nominated last year as a full member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. Membership in Sigma Xi is by nomination only, and full membership is conferred upon those who have demonstrated noteworthy achievements in research.
