Lamin E. Drammeh

Dr. Lamin Drammeh serves as a thought partner with the vice president/executive director, senior directors, and management team in providing leadership in short- and long-range institutional planning and priorities; designing and development of strategic initiatives and concepts; implementation, assessment, and oversight of areas of responsibility across the institution.

He provides leadership in identifying institutional priorities. Spearheads, directs, plans, coordinates, designs, administers, and controls SC State PSA strategic planning process and development, program evaluation, staff development, training, and Plan of Work reporting functions. Applies data-informed decision-making and provides information and research to support strategic institutional planning and continuous improvement of the institution.

More About Dr. Lamin Drammeh

Dr. Drammeh is a highly accomplished researcher and international development specialist with two decades of experience. He has co-authored 34 textbooks and teachers’ guides for secondary education. He is recognized nationally and internationally for his research and project development work. Drammeh is a proud graduate of SC State University and one of its most decorated athletes. He served as the captain of SC State Track and Field program and a NCAA All-American awardee. In 2012, he was inducted into the SC State University Athletics Hall of Fame, and in 2021, he was inducted into the Mid-Eastern Athletics Conference (MEAC) Hall of Fame. He is an Olympian and represented The Gambia at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Dr. Drammeh also has an extensive international travel portfolio.

His hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, tennis, and watching movies. Interests include athletics, coaching/mentoring, international affairs, technology, and politics.
