    Completed a minimum of 45-60 semester credit hours 48 hours in the General Education Curriculum and have documentation on your Program of Study
    Officially declared a major area of study.
    Earned a minimum grade of “C” in all required courses as outlined on the Program of Study, and repeated courses with a “D” or lower
    Completed a minimum of “45 hours” of required practicum experiences (Pre-STEP)
    Earned a cumulative “2.75” grade point average
   

Have started a file in the CARE Center
Completed an application for Admission to Teacher Education

  • Have an assigned advisor
  • Followed the Program of Study
  • Have two letters of recommendation
  • Have a Speech and Hearing Screening
  • Have a current Medical Evaluation
  • Have an Academic and Professional Character Screening and Disposition Survey – Completed in ED 206
  • Have passed all parts of Praxis I
  • Have proof of required Pre-STEP hours recorded in the system
    Submitted the Final Checklist Form to schedule the Admission Assessments
    Wear professional attire for the Interview Assessment
    Successfully completed the Writing and Interview Admission Assessments
