Prospective students will have an opportunity to see all that SC State has to offer during its Fall Open House 2008, Saturday Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium. Registration is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Prospective students and their parents will be introduced to educational offerings and opportunities at SC State, meet University officials, departmental representatives and experience ‘Bulldog Pride’ first hand.
The day’s activities will begin at 9 a.m. and includes a welcome and informational program hosted by SC State President George E. Cooper, Bulldog greetings, University highlights, financial aid options and admissions/scholarship requirements. The program will be followed by workshops on admissions and financial aid, as well as booth displays on student life and leadership, student health and wellness, scholarship opportunities and Army ROTC. Tours of the SC State’s historic campus are among the activities planned for the day. There will also be an opportunity to dine in the state-of-the-art dining facility, J. W. Washington Dining Hall.
Students who have not been accepted to the University are encouraged to bring an official or unofficial high school transcript, national examination scores (ACT or SAT) and current courses. SC State’s Office of Admissions, Recruitment and Scholarships will process documents for admission to the University during the visit.
The event is open to high school juniors and seniors, and is a great way for students, parents, relatives and friends to visit the campus and experience the excitement of ‘Bulldog Country’ while participating in various activities.
