SC State's TOP STUDENTS Inducted in the worlds largest collegiate honor society

SC State’s top students will be inducted into the world’s largest collegiate honor society this weekend.

The SC State Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society will hold its annual New Member Recognition Ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at 6 pm in the Bulldog Lounge of the Kirkland W. Green Student Center. Forty-five undergraduates and five Honorary Members from the campus community will be inducted at this ceremony.

The speaker for the ceremony will be The Reverend Walter Harley, Senior Pastor of the Central United Methodist Church, Rowesville, SC. For additional information, contact the SC State Honors Program Office at (803) 533-3710.

The Golden Key International Honour Society is the largest collegiate honor society in the world, with chapters at nearly 350 colleges and universities in seven countries – Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and the United States. Membership into the society is by invitation only, to the top 15% of college and university juniors and seniors in all fields of study, based solely on the objective criteria of their academic achievements. Golden Key was founded in 1977 by a group of undergraduate students and faculty members at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga.
