SC State’s Office of Admissions, Recruitments, and Scholarship will host its 2009 annual winter open house, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium on campus. Registration is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The welcome and informational program will be hosted by SC State’s 10th President, George E. Cooper. There will also be greetings from the Miss SC State, Uchechi Egbuhuzo and Student Government Association (SGA) President, Whitney McCrea. The formal program will be followed by information sessions on admissions, financial aid, various academic areas, student life, student health and wellness and Army ROTC.
Tours of SC State’s historic campus is among the activities planned for the day, prospective students and their parents will have the opportunity to dine with current students in the J.W. Washington Dining Hall.
Students who have not been accepted to the SC State are encouraged to bring an official or unofficial high school transcript, national examination scores (ACT or SAT) and current courses. The Office of Admissions, Recruitment and Scholarships will process the prospective students’ documents for admission to the University during their visits.

This event is open to high school juniors and seniors and an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their parents, relatives, and friends to visit SC State’s campus and experience the excitement of Bulldog Country while participating in the various activities.
