On August 19 at 9:30 a.m., the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education will hold a press
conference to release the findings of a study conducted by the University of South Carolina’s Moore
School of Business, “The Economic Return on Investment in South Carolina’s Higher Education.”
Dr. Doug Woodward, Director of the Moore School’s Division of Research and Professor of
Economics, will be on hand to provide an overview of the results.
The study was conducted in conjunction with the work of the legislatively appointed Higher
Education Study Committee (HESC) which released its recommendations for an Action Plan for
higher education earlier in the spring.
The Press Conference is being held via a South Carolina Educational Television (SC ETV)
closed circuit television broadcast from SC ETV Studios in Columbia to sites throughout the
state. If you are unable to attend in Columbia, the following sites across South Carolina will host the
telecast for your local convenience:
