| WHO: | SC State’s Department of Social Sciences and Dr. Carol Apt, professor of sociology. |
| WHAT: | Dr. Patricia Heberer, historian with the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in Washington, D.C., will present a lecture entitled “The Medical Profession in the Nazi Era.” Heberer’s visit to the Midlands is in conjunction with the exhibit, "Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race,” which is currently on display at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia, S.C. The exhibit concerns Adolf Hitler's efforts to build a nation of superior human beings in World War II Germany, and will run through February 14, 2010. |
