SC State University Hosts Graduate & Professional Schools Day Fair

Thursday, October 15, 2009

The Career Center will host its annual Graduate & Professional Schools Day Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009 in the K.W. Green Student Center located on the campus of SC State University. This year’s theme is “Bright Minds, Great Opportunities Make An Ideal Partnership.” Touting the theme that was used during the annual Career Fair for the University, the same success and increased student participation is expected for the upcoming Graduate & Professional Schools Day Fair.

Joseph Thomas, interim director for the Career Center, says that this year’s Graduate and Professional Schools Day Fair will prove to be significant for all participants. “The Graduate and Professional Schools Day Fair is a means of providing information and opportunities to all students on the various aspects of graduate school, including the services that are rendered at this level and the programs that are offered at distinct universities,” says Thomas.

The Career Center is committed to providing comprehensive information in direct response to the needs of our students. In an effort to provide students with this counsel, nearly 30 universities have been invited to participate. “Professional and graduate schools from across the nation will share information with students, faculty, alumni, and anyone who would like to further their education beyond an undergraduate degree,” says Kristal Hutchinson, event coordinator.
