On Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, the Small Business Development Center will present their workshop~”Finance for Non-Financial Managers” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop will be held in the Department of Public Utilities’ (DPU) Conference Room, located at 1016 Russell Street in Orangeburg, SC. (Parking will be in the paved lot across from DPU).
This two-hour workshop will assist you in analyzing your business from a financial point of view, ultimately raising your level of business knowledge to match your professional skills. During the workshop, you will learn about financial planning, profit and loss versus cash flow, how to develop a relationship with your accountant, financial objectives and the indicators of a company in financial chaos.
Presenter John Goodwin, regional director for the Small Business Development Center, says that this workshop is significant for all business owners. “Business owners will learn how to improve the financial performance of their operations using financial tools,” says Goodwin. “Finance for Non-Financial Managers” presents a rare opportunity to learn entrepreneurial finance and how to apply it.
