SC State University to Celebrate 114th Founders' Day Anniversary

SC State will celebrate the 114th anniversary of its establishment at the annual Founders’ Day Convocation.


During the event, SC State will announce the distinguished alumni, and 10, 20 and 30-year faculty and staff service award recipients. Honorees will also be recognized in the area of distinguished service. The 2010 inductees to the Quarter Century Club and Thomas E. Miller Society will also be honored.


Founders’ Day Weekend includes the following activities:


The 2010 SC State University Foundation Scholarship Gala and Tribute featuring Regina Belle
Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center (SHM)
Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 7 p.m.


The Thomas E. Miller Society Breakfast
Robert S. Evans Walnut Room
Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at 9 a.m.

WHEN:

The Founders’ Day Convocation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. The event will feature Brigadier General Stephen M. Twitty as the guest speaker.
