Currently on display at the Orangeburg County Arts Center is SC State University’s alumni, faculty and staff art exhibition.
Presented by Kappa Pi International Honorary Arts Fraternity, Eta Iota Chapter, the exhibition will be on display until Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 and concludes with a reception that evening from 6 p.m.to 8:30 p.m.
The works of art within the exhibition explore the diversity of art-making approaches at SC State. This dynamic show includes sculptures, installations, and paintings by nationally and internationally exhibited artists and educators of the University.
Alumni, faculty and staff members whose artwork is displayed include:
Leslie Rech, associate professor of Art (ceramics) and visual arts program coordinator; Steven Crall, assistant professor of Art (printmaking); Kimberly Ledee, associate professor of Art (painting); Ellen Zisholtz, assistant professor of art (painting) and director and curator for the I.P. Stanback Museum & Planetarium; Scotty Peek, assistant professor of Art (photography); Frank Martin, instructor of Art History; Jonathan Walsh, associate professor of Art (digital media); and Jim Arendt, Fine Arts Center Gallery director.
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts encourages everyone to see the breadth of art made and taught at SC State University.
