Author Jehmaine Edwards will conduct a book signing on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at SC State University’s Bookstore. Edwards’ book, entitled “Expressions of Thoughts,” is a compilation of poems detailing his life story. Growing up, Edwards suffered tremendous sickness and was told he would not reach adulthood. He overcame those challenges and many others, to include being placed in foster care. “Expressions of Thoughts” is a testament of this journey through poems such as “Jesus Give Me Strength,” “A Mother’s Love,” “I’m An Angel” and “A Part of Me Is Gone,” which speaks of the pain Edwards endured upon learning his twin brother had been murdered.
“I am tremendously blessed and overjoyed with happiness that I am able to share my writings with those who may be going through similar situations that I have faced. My hope is that I will be able to help others identify and deal with their own life struggles and pain,” shares Edwards.
In addition to the SC State University Bookstore, Edwards’ book is available for purchase through publishing websites, to include Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.
