Hunter Exhibition on Display at I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium Extended

The Grid Turns the Corner” and “The Grid Comes Full Circle” exhibitions featuring the artwork of Dr. Terry K. Hunter and his students have been extended through May 15, 2011. The exhibitions, originally scheduled to end March 31, 2011, are on display at the I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium on the SC State campus. The two exhibitions are the culminating event of a seven city, three state experience that has been touring since 2009 and includes works by Hunter and his students dating back as early as 1973. The exhibitions curated by Angela Corbett feature comprehensive, full color catalogues with essays and commentary.


A closing reception, scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2011, will include a visual narrative which will highlight Hunter’s life and career. The visual narrative and an awards ceremony will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Dr. Barbara A. Vaughan Fine Arts Recital Hall on the SC State campus. A book signing and closing reception will follow at the I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. During the reception, catalogues may be purchased.
