SC State University Presents Line-Up of Celebrities during Homecoming 2011

Sunday, October 09, 2011

FutureCan you feel it in the air! It’s that time of the year for alumni all across the nation to reunite with their peers and enjoy a week of festive activities for the entire family during Homecoming 2011. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Homecoming 2011: A Star-Studded Affair.” One of the biggest events this year will be the SC State University Homecoming Concert featuring musical artists Future, Ace Hood, Chrisette Michelle, Young Jeezy and Charlie Wilson.

“I am thrilled about the various events that both alumni and students will be able to engage in during this year’s Homecoming,” says Adrienne F. Clinton, director of alumni relations. “From the unveiling of the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association’s (SCSUNAA) calendar, to feasting on fish during the Alumni Fish Fry and hearing melodic tunes from various artists during the Homecoming concert, there is something for everyone this year,” she continued. SC State’s loyal son, major general Abraham Turner, class of 1976, will also serve as parade marshal during this year’s parade.
