Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages with concentrations in Spanish

The Bachelor of Arts degree program in Modern Languages presently offers a concentration in Spanish. This comprehensive program equips students to communicate in all modes of language as well as providing application of knowledge of language and culture through service learning projects. A study abroad component provides opportunities for travel and application of language acquisition in a cultural immersion setting. The program addresses the need for fluency in another language as an increasingly important asset to students in the areas of Education, Business, Applied Social Sciences, Technology, and the Arts and Humanities in the 21st century. The major in Modern Languages addresses the national and international need for graduates with communication tools for success in our multicultural society as well as in the global marketplace. The major with a concentration in Spanish will experience the immediate challenge to meet the growing needs of our Hispanic community.
