TRANSCRIPTS
- Academic Transcripts are $10.00 per copy (includes undergraduate and graduate). All course work earned on each level will be released upon receipt of request, no separation.

If you were enrolled before 1984, prior to the college computer integration, transcripts are located on microfilm, microfiche or hard copy and have to be searched for manually. Unfortunately, this may require additional time; therefore your transcript will not available for Pick-Up on the same day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Please make certain that you include all names used at any time.

According to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, all transcript requests must be in writing, dated and include the signature of the owner of the record and a valid identification card (current student identification, driver’s license, Department of Motor Vehicles or military identification card).

Transcript request submitted on someone’s behalf must include written authorization from the owner of the record, current student identification, driver’s license, Department of Motor Vehicles or military identification card. The remitter must also submit one of the requested identification cards.

If the request is made in person, identification of the requester and receipt of payment must accompany the Transcript Request Form.

All financial obligations must be resolved before a transcript can be released from the University. Please contact the Accounts Receivable Office (803) 536-8077 or 536-8991) to verify your account status.

Generally, transcripts are processed within five business days after receipt of your request. During peak times, transcripts are processed within ten business. All transcript requests must be received in writing by the Registrar’s Office at least two weeks before a required deadline.

Transcripts are sent by standard U.S. Mail.

The University does offer FedEx with all expenses being paid by the student. The fee is quoted through FedEx website based on mailing zip code furnished by requester.

We do not fax transcripts to any locations.

Complimentary unofficial transcripts are available to students while in attendance at the University. If you are no longer enrolled at the university, you must follow the standard procedures for requesting a transcript.
Written Request
The following data is required to request a transcript in writing:
Full Name (all names used).
Student identification or social security number.
Copy of current student identification, driver’s license, Department of Motor Vehicles or military identification card.
Enrollment dates at SCSU.
Recipient address to which transcript is being sent.
Your contact number in case additional information is needed.
Your signature.
Enclose personal check or money order made payable to (SCSU) South Carolina State University.
