Description of Duties:

The mission of the Counseling and Self-Development Center is to assist students in defining and accomplishing their personal and academic goals using the process of individual and group counseling, psychological assessment, personal development, outreach activities, and timely intervention in the event of an emotional crisis. The Chief Psychologist/Director is responsible for all activities for the Center and spearheading this process. In addition, the Chief Psychologist/Director is the decision-maker for all activities for the Center. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate testing and assessments for psychological evaluations as required by students presenting concerns, the collection of assessments and works closely with the appropriate personnel in the management and treatment to ensure educational programming and services are appropriate.
 
Qualifications:

A Doctoral degree in Administration or related field, with extensive knowledge in special education or psychology, including training in assessments for individuals with disabilities and working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act is required.
