SCSU Track Teams Compete for MEAC Titles The South Carolina State men and women’s track teams are among the eleven (11) colleges and universities competing in the 2007 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships conducted Friday and today at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md. The SC State teams qualified a combined 25 participants for the competition, which culminates Saturday evening. Leading the way for SC State on the women’s side are sprinters Natalie Dixon and Natalee Allen, high jumper Ashley Maddox and the 4x400 meter relay team. Quartermiler Garrett Blakely, hurdler Randy Gooden and the 4x400 meter relay team will spearhead SC State in the men’s division.
