Make a Difference and Participate in the SC State Police Department’s Back to School Drive

Friday, July 22, 2011

The SC State University Police Department will sponsor a Back to School Drive for Felton Laboratory School. If you can donate paper, pencils, liquid glue, glue sticks, crayons, pencil boxes, composition books or make a monetary donation, visit the police department at the Buckley Street and Magnolia Street gates between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011.

Michael Bartley, chief for the SC State University Police Department, says that these items are significant for Felton students. “We are obligated to provide for our students,” says Bartley. “We must ensure that these future leaders of tomorrow are equipped with the essentials to get the best education possible. Money and supplies should not be deterrents. That’s why we should provide the proper support and funding so that all of these students can prosper.”

If you are unable to drop off your items during the designated hours, call (803) 533-3718 to have these supplies picked up from your location.
