RBC Bank recently announced the appointment of SC State alumnus, Rico Montell Snell, ’95, as banking center manager of the Columbia branch located at 701 Gervais Street.
Bringing more than 15 years of retail and business banking experience to this new role, Snell will be responsible for overseeing daily retail banking sales and operations, ensuring exceptional client experience and the delivery of effective financial guidance and services for consumers and small businesses.

Snell, a native of Orangeburg, S.C., holds a bachelor’s degree in management from SC State University. He is an active community member, involved in organizations such as the School Improvement Council for North Springs Elementary School, Junior Achievement of the Midlands, and a former board member of both City Year of Columbia and South Carolina State University – School of Business Alumni Advisory Board. Snell was featured as the “profile of achievement” in the Black Pages of the Midlands in 2002 and 2004. He is also an honoree of the 20 under 40 Midlands Young Professional Class of 2011.
