The McDonald’s McCafe® 2012 Smooth Fusion Tour will stop in Orangeburg, S.C. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, to promote its new Flavors of Summer beverage, McCafe® Cherry Berry Chiller. This event is scheduled to take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the K.W. Green Student Center’s Plaza located on the campus of SC State University. This event is an opportunity to offer the community and SC State students, faculty and staff a fun opportunity to cool off from the summer heat and celebrate back to school with McDonald’s.
The McCafe® 2012 Smooth Fusion Tour motor coach is an upscale beverage lounge on wheels, will offer free samples of Cherry Berry Chiller, while supplies last. The event will feature live broadcasts from radio stations, Big DM, Hot 103.9, and WSSB 90.3; an appearance by Ronald McDonald, along with Free giveaways. The SC State student activities fair will also be taking place at the event, with a special appearance by the SC State Cheerleaders and the Bulldog mascot.
“SC State University is excited about the collaboration with McDonald’s as we begin the new academic school year,” says Erica S. Taylor, director of University Relations and Marketing. “This partnership with McDonald’s is a great way to bring the University family and community members together for a day of fun, free giveaways and the opportunity to learn more about students organizations on campus,” added Taylor.
McCafe® 2012 Smooth Fusion Tour will make stops in 48 cities nationwide this year. Cherry Berry Chiller, the featured beverage on the tour, is a blended ice beverage made of 100 percent fruit juice with natural flavors and combines sweetness or cherry and raspberry.
The latest McDonald’s® menu innovation will be available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s® restaurants nationwide until Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
