The candidates for president of SC State University will be on the campus of SC State on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 through Thursday, April 11, 2013 to interview with SC State’s Board of Trustees, as well as meet with various stakeholder groups.
Dr. Leonard A. McIntyre will visit on Tuesday, April 9, 2013; Mr. Thomas Elzey will visit on Wednesday, April 10, 2013; and Dr. E. Newton Jackson will visit on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Each candidate will begin the day by interviewing with SC State’s Board of Trustees at 9:30 a.m. During each candidates visit, SC State’s faculty, staff, students, alumni and all interested stakeholders will have the opportunity to meet the candidate by attending a forum where the candidate will share their philosophy, background information, and then receive questions.
The forum schedule that all three candidates will follow is listed below:
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. SC State Faculty and Staff
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. SC State Students
4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. SC State University Alumni and Community
Forums will be held in the Dr. Barbara A. Vaughan Fine Arts Recital Hall in the Fine Arts Center located on the campus of SC State University. Parking will be made available in the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center’s parking lot.
