Lionel Hampton, a 2003 alumnus of SC State University and president and chief executive officer of OSC Technology has been named a Worldwide Who’s Who executive/professional/entrepreneur of the Year in information technology. While inclusion in Worldwide Who’s Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who’s Who membership.
After graduating from SC State University, Hampton moved right into the technology sector. He immediately found his niche and has since never looked back. It has now been 35 years since he first joined the profession, and even with this wealth of experience behind him, he continues to learn new things about the field, as well as in business – this is what fuels his ongoing success.
Hampton has spent more than two decades as the president and CEO of OSC Technology, a venture that installs and supports IT infrastructure systems and sells desktop systems and networks. At the head of this business, Hampton is charged with overseeing all product sales and marketing, and as a result, he has become quite adept in business profit and loss matters. Already a success in the industry after more than three dedicated decades, Hampton plans to retire in the upcoming years. He is a supporter of many charitable groups including the organization known as Back on My Feet.
