Felton Laboratory School is one of the top performing schools in the state and has earned the title of “Palmetto Gold School” for its academic achievements. The South Carolina Department of Education has named Felton Laboratory School a Palmetto Gold School for the third year. Felton Laboratory School received the Palmetto Gold Award in 2004-2005 and 2010-2011.
Dr. Gloria Winkler, director of Felton Laboratory School is ecstatic about receiving the Palmetto Gold Award. “I can truly say that the faculty, staff, students and parents really worked toward this award,” said Winkler. “Our school motto is, “A New State of Mind: Where High Expectations Yield High Results,” once again Felton has shown this to be true.”
Felton Laboratory School’s mission is to promote excellence in learning and instruction. In partnership with SC State University, Felton Laboratory School provides opportunities for future educators to become highly qualified.
