The event, held in the Bulldog Lounge of the K.W. Green Student Center at S.C. State from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featured representatives from many agencies, corporations and schools on hand to talk to students about career opportunities.
Employers participating included Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO), Cintas, Savannah River Laboratories and the American Broadcasting Company (ABC).
“We appreciate having a partnership with OCtech and Claflin and area employers to give our students an opportunity and a chance,” Joseph Thomas, program coordinator, said.
William D. Simmons, an SCSU design major, said he would have liked to have seen more representatives from art and design-related companies.
Devin Fredrick, an SCSU computer science major, noted that he was able to talk with representatives of three information technology companies during the Expo.
