ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State’s Nov. 17th home contest against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival North Carolina A&T has been moved to Charleston and The Citadel’s Johnson Hagood Stadium, Bulldog athletics director Charlene M. Johnson announced Thursday.
The starting time for the contest, which will be billed as the Lowcountry Classic, will be announced later.
The Bulldog – Aggie matchup is being played in Charleston for the first time after four years as the Rivalry Classic in Charlotte, NC. The game will mark the second time in as many seasons that SC State has played a contest in the Port City. Last season, the Bulldogs drew a crowd of almost 16,000 when the season opener against Bethune-Cookman was moved there during enhancements at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
The contest, which closes out the regular season for both teams, is a part of the SC State 2007 season ticket package, which this year costs $125.00. For additional ticket information, interested persons may call the Bulldog Ticket Office at 803-536-8579 or toll free at 800-298-9157, or visit the school’s website at www.scsu.edu
