SC State – Radford Tennis Match Cancelled; SC State Prepares for MEAC Tourney

Monday, April 16, 2007

ORANGEBURG, SC – Tuesday’s makeup tennis matchup between the South Carolina State men and Radford (Va.) has been cancelled, according to SC State head coach Hardeep Judge.

The game, which was postponed from Apr. 7 due to inclement weather in Virginia, was to be played at UNC-Charlotte, a half-way point for the two teams, but was called as both teams are preparing for their conference tournaments later this week. The game will only be made up if it will affect any post season play for either team, according to Judge.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament gets underway Friday at the Millbrook Park Tennis Complex in Raleigh, NC. The SC State men are three-time defending champions, while the Lady Bulldogs have won the last two women’s titles.
