ORANGEBURG – The next installment of SC State’s weekly Executive Speaker Series will feature Tanya E. Bolton, certified licensed counselor and owner of Bolton Counseling LLC in Columbia, S.C.
The lecture – which will focus on conflict resolution and professional behavior in the workplace – will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 12 p.m. in the Belcher Hall fourth floor auditorium. Bolton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and a Certified Addictions Counselor with several years of clinical experience and eight years in the military. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology with a focus in marriage and family therapy.
The Executive Speaker Series, sponsored by the College of Business and Applied Professional Sciences, is a component of the Leadership and Professional Development Program, which all business majors are required to complete. The series exposes students to various aspects of the workplace, including viewpoints of leaders who are on the cutting edge of business, industry and government.
Past participants have come from a wide array of companies and industries, including Pfizer Inc., Springs Industries, Bowater Inc., Ernst & Young, AT&T, Ameriprise Financial, Black Enterprise, Blue Cross Blue Shield, SCANA, Sonoco, Bank of America, Johnson Controls, Milliken & Company and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The Executive Speaker Series was implemented in the core curriculum of the School of Business in 1996 as a component of the Leadership and Professional development Program, which all business majors are required to complete.
