ORANGEBURG - SC State 1890 Research and Extension, in conjunction with the University’s College of Business and Applied Professional Sciences, will sponsor a Small Business Workshop Series to assist prospective entrepreneurs in starting a business and to offer the latest business management techniques to existing business owners.
The workshop will be held on Oct. 17, 18, 20 and 24 at Palmetto Electric Cooperative Inc., One Cooperative Way, Hardeeville, SC 29927. All classes will be held from 6-8:30 p.m., except the Oct. 20 class, which will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Topics will include: starting or expanding your business, accounting, financing your business, marketing and small business management.
The workshops are offered through 1890 Research and Extension’s Rural Entrepreneurial Outreach Initiative, which provides small business management assistance at little or no cost to potential and existing business owners in the state.
