1890 Research and Extension offers non-profit workshops

ORANGEBURG - Persons who are interested in establishing a non-profit organization but uncertain of the steps to take to create one, will learn the fundamentals of non-profits through free workshops offered by SC State’s 1890 Research and Extension.

The one-day course, Starting a Non-profit, will be held in two locations – Orangeburg and Sumter. Participants will learn the basics of creating a non-profit organization and gain knowledge on operating a non-profit through effective leadership. Registration for both classes is limited to 10 persons, so register early.

The course is part of 1890 Research and Extension’s community education program, which offers classes statewide with topics such as financial education for youth and adults, basic Spanish, small farm management, food safety, nutrition, home buyer education and introduction to keyboarding.
