Charlene Keys, vice president for Operations and Voice with Time Warner Cable’s, South Carolina Division will be the featured Executive Speaker Series speaker on Feb. 20. She will share with students a lecture entitled “Essential Toolkit for the 21 Century Executive.”

The Executive Speaker Series is a partnership between participating companies and the business program. It supports the college’s mission to provide quality management education and leadership to produce competitive graduates for a global and diverse environment.
CHARLENE KEYS joined Time Warner Cable in 2004 as vice president and general manager of voice, responsible for leading the launch and management of the Division’s residential voice service. She is now vice president of operations and voice for Time Warner Cable’s, South Carolina Division. In this position, she oversees business operations, construction, technical operations, quality assurance, and service delivery for voice, video, and data products. She is also responsible for the Division’s wireless line of business.
Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Keys served as managing partner/co-founder of Civature Consulting, Inc., a management consulting firm in Atlanta. Other employment history includes senior management positions at KMC Telecom, MCI WorldCom Inc., Ameritech, Inc. and Sprint Corporation. While at Ameritech Corporation as general manager of network operations, Ms. Keys was selected to participate in an executive exchange program with Deutche Telecom in Bonn and Berlin, Germany. (Deutche Telecom develops service delivery processes for ISDN Services.)
Keys has a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of the State of New York in Albany and master’s degree in Business Administration from the Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga.
Keys is an Executive Board member of Midlands Technical College Foundation Board, Board of Trustees, and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the National Association of Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC-Carolinas) and the Cable and Telecommunications Association in Marketing (CTAM). She is recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Minorities in Cable.
