Orangeburg, S.C. – The College of Business and Applied Professional Sciences, Business Program, will officially kick off its spring 2009 Executive Speaker Series on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 in Belcher Hall, 4th floor auditorium at 12:00 p.m.
The Executive Speaker Series (ESS) is a partnership between participating companies, government, professional organizations, private and public community sectors, and the business program. It supports the university’s mission to offer quality management education and leadership to produce competitive graduates for a global and diverse atmosphere.
Past participants have come from a wide array of companies and industries, including Pfizer, Inc., Ernest and Young, AT&T, Black Enterprise, SCANA, Bank of America, Time Warner Cable, Monsanto Company, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
Student orientation begins January 28 and will include a session facilitated by Ms. Erica Ross Qualls, ‘2000, an MBA student at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. The topic of Ms. Qualls presentation is “The MBA: A Pathway to a Successful Career in Business”.
The first executive speaker for spring 2009 Executive Speaker Series will be Mr. Jonathan Speed, ’70, president and COO of Data Systems and Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
