The Miller F. Whittaker Library will host a book signing by author Bruce Edwards on Friday, Feb.13, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Library.
Edwards, a Brooklyn, NY native, has spent a lifetime with a front row seat to life’s panorama of joy and happiness, pain and sorrow, love and laughter, victories and defeat, and every human condition and emotion in-between. As an author, journalist, and poet, Edwards has drawn on his own personal roller coaster ride through life to painstakingly carve a niche for himself as one who writes only from his heart which he has exposed for all to see and feel in this and his other works of poetry.
“Loving Lovely Ladies” is the long awaited collection of poems from a man who has experienced the joy and magic of loving and being loved by women in his adult life.
Committed to bridge the widening civil, kindness, and romantic gap between men and women, Edwards’s social and political commentary can be read at www.blackamericatalks.net.
“I am extremely delighted for Edwards to come and share his poetry with SC State,” said Adrienne Webber, dean of the Miller F. Whittaker Library. “While he is here our students will share their poetry with him. We are looking forward to welcoming Mr. Edwards to Bulldog Country,” she continued.
