Spring Arts FestivalSC State University’s department of Visual and Performing Arts will present the 2010 Spring Arts Festival on Friday, April 23 - Saturday, April 24. The Festival will feature live music, exhibits, lectures, spoken word, workshops and performances by SC State faculty, staff, students and other artists.

Vendors showcase, lectures and workshops 
The showcase will feature original artwork, crafts, jewelry, and natural beauty products. Workshops and lectures include: children’s arts and crafts, ceramics workshop, the ‘Business of Art’ lecture, early childcare music education workshop, music production workshop and a music forum.

Planetarium Shows
The I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium will present “In The Mind’s Eye: Illusion and Art.”

“West Memphis Mojo” Stage Play Excerpt
SC State’s Henderson-Davis Players will perform an excerpt from their most recent stage play, “West Memphis Mojo.”

The 2010 Spring Arts Festival will also feature performances by: Ujimaa Dancers, New Kids on the Block, HEAT, Women of Praise Dancers, open mic and spoken word by the New Danger Art Crew and SC State University students.
