Welcome from the President

South Carolina State University has developed this website in anticipation of our 2010 Commission on Colleges' Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Reaffirmation. This website will be used as a mechanism to share information with the public on our progress toward reaffirmation of accreditation.

Over the last several years, the accreditation process has changed tremendously to include the advent of increased technology. Hence, this website includes the reaffirmation process, timeline, and information about the Compliance Certification and Quality Enhancement Plan. You will also find announcements and other information pertinent to the process that will keep you abreast of our progress.

The reaccreditation process is extremely important to our institution. Reaffirmation of accreditation affirms that our mission continues to be appropriate and relevant and we have the ability to serve students through quality educational programs. Our successful reaffirmation of accreditation will be realized through the efforts of the administration, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni and other constituents.
