Specific Functions of the Office of Financial Aid:


The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) coordinates all financial assistance offered to South Carolina State University students and is charged with the responsibility of assuring that federal, state and institutional policies are operationally effective.  The philosophy is to provide access and choice to students who, without such aid would not be able to attend SC State.  The programs administered provide monetary assistace to students who can benefit from furthering their education but who cannot do so without such assistance.

Brooks Health Center is dedicated to providing the students enrolled at South Carolina State University with the highest quality of health care and service. Our mission is to contribute to the holistic educational experience at SCSU by promoting preventive health care and wellness.

Brooks Health Center's (BHC), staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacist, registered and licensed practical nurses, allied health care practitioners and other supportive staff assess, evaluate and treat most routine outpatient (ambulatory) care problems associated with the college age population.

Fitness Center (Sojourner Truth Hall)

The mission of the Fitness Center is to enhance and promote the health and wellness of SCSU students, faculty, staff and community. Activities available at NO COST include:
