The Visual Arts Program is located in the impressive Fine Arts Building on the campus of South Carolina State University. The Visual Arts studios are concentrated on the first and second floors in addition to the FAB gallery, an exhibition space used for both professional and student exhibitions, and the Barbara A. Vaughan Recital Hall, a spacious auditorium designed for recitals, lectures and performances. The Visual Arts studios include:
Digital Media LabMcIntosh work stations, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, In Design, Macromedia Flash, Fireworks, Free Hand, Director, and Apple Final Cut Pro access to scanners, printers, digital cameras and video cameras
Painting/Drawing StudioEasels, drawing tables, cutting tables, matting and framing equipment
Ceramics/Sculpture StudioTwo electric kilns, three gas kilns including raku, reduction, salt/soda, pug mill, glaze lab, electric wheels, Lockerbie kick wheel, wood shop, Jet table saw, band saw, belt sander, drill press, welding stations
Relief press, Litho Press, silkscreen equipment, acid room, photo dark room
