Course Description

New labor force statistics indicate our workforces are changing dramatically and are more culturally diverse that ever before. To manage effectively, today's managers must be ready to deal with diversity, eliminate barriers in communication, and provide a foundation for positive relationships in the workplace. Small groups will discuss problems encountered in the workplace and ways of handling each problem. During this seminar we will discuss what is "diversity"? Why should we learn about diversity and why diversity is transforming our nation. We will explore what makes each person unique and how to celebrate diversity.
