If we listen carefully, we can hear and see learning. Over the years we train ourselves through experience and practice, hone our skills, and develop our powers as observers and collectors of learning episodes and artifacts. Knowing what and who to listen to and how to develop these skills can help us on our way. This plenary session takes conference participants on a journey exploring sources to listen to, sprinkled with practical examples of what to do to enhance teaching. Sources addressed through this collaborative exploration will include: faculty wisdom of practice (self & colleagues); Student voice (CATs & Conversations); Learning Theories (Adult /selected)); Best Practices and Research from the field (SoTL & Meta-studies); Class-based Evidence (researching our own practice). Join the journey, share ideas and enhance your awareness of and ability to listen for the learning around you.
