SC State and Orangeburg County to Launch the WT-PERC Feasibility Study

WHO: SC State University Interim President Leonard A. McIntyre, SC State University Board of Trustees Chairman Maurice G. Washington, Orangeburg County Administrator Bill Clark, CEO-US Operations for ANGEL Technology Gary Evans, Executive Director of the Orangeburg County Development Commission, Gregg Robinson and others to include: Claflin University, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Orangeburg, and Congressman Jim Clyburn’s Office.

WHAT: The County of Orangeburg, along with its key collaborators and sponsors will take another strategic step toward making the World Trade Park and Education Research Center (WT-PERC) a major economic development initiative. The feasibility study will be officially launched and a comprehensive planning session will be conducted by ANGLE Technology Group, the company named in January to conduct the study.

WHERE: The Belcher Hall Board Room (206) on the campus of SC State University.

Media members wishing to cover the event should enter campus at the University’s main entrance from Highway 601 (Magnolia Boulevard). At the information booth, media members will receive direction to the Board Room and special parking directions and information.

WHEN: The press conference will commence at 11 a.m., March 20, 2008.
