Family & Consumer Sciences Business / Multidisciplinary Option

Students enrolled in this option have the opportunity to develop a tailored made pathway to match their future career goals and course selection.

The foundation that is provided by the Family and Consumer Sciences core, content, and business courses will advance competencies for a variety of career choices. This professional area incorporates selected concepts from the fields of business, management, communities, equipment, and family and consumer economics. Most courses selected from other disciplines or those completed prior to the selection of this major are in the human sciences or applied sciences. Personal characteristics needed include business orientation, self-motivation, energy, organizational skills, and the ability to mobilize innovation and change. Recommended paths of study: accounting, agribusiness, biology, environmental science, business administration, business economics, computer science, criminal justice, drama, english, printing journalism, radio broadcasting, french, black studies, mathematics, political science, psychology, sociology and spanish.
