Health Physics Leader
Korressa Morgan Lee is an accomplished health physicist with more than a decade of
expertise in radiation safety, regulatory compliance, and health physics program management.
She currently serves at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she provides
comprehensive health physics support for human and animal research protocols. In this
role, she oversees compliance surveys, manages sealed source inventories, leads the
declared pregnant worker program, and delivers specialized training in radiation safety
and nuclear medicine therapies.
Her career spans leadership roles at RSO, Inc., where she coordinated dosimetry services
for over 100 client sites, conducted NRC-compliant audits, calibrated radiation detection
instruments, and performed decontamination and final status surveys. Earlier, she
worked as a Clinical Regulatory Specialist with Technical Resources International,
supporting clinical research audits and quality control, and as a Research Intern
at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she gained early experience in
radiation safety, medical imaging, and laboratory calibration.
A recognized leader in her field, Ms. Lee has held key roles in professional organizations,
including serving as President of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the Health Physics
Society and as a plenary member of the National Council on Radiation Protection. She
has completed specialized training in radiation safety, regulatory audits, and x-ray
safety, equipping her with a broad and practical skillset to advance public health
and nuclear safety.
