Dr. Whitney M. Bluford, PharmD, AAHIVP, is a licensed pharmacist, HIV treatment specialist, and healthcare leader with over a decade of experience advancing pharmacy services in both retail and community health settings.

Currently serving as Pharmacy Manager at Cooperative Health in West Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Bluford plays a pivotal role in managing pharmacy operations, optimizing patient care, and leading disease-specific education for underserved populations.

With deep clinical knowledge and a passion for equitable access to care, Dr. Bluford is recognized for her expertise in medication therapy management, chronic disease education, and HIV care. She holds the HIV Pharmacist Specialist certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine and has completed additional training in diabetes education, reinforcing her commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care. At Cooperative Health, she partners closely with physicians and care teams to ensure medication safety, adherence, and treatment optimization, particularly for patients managing HIV, hypertension, and diabetes.

Her previous leadership roles at CVS Pharmacy sharpened her operational, supervisory, and consultative skills, giving her a strong foundation in both high-volume and personalized pharmacy environments. In each setting, she has trained and mentored pharmacy staff, managed regulatory compliance, and led initiatives to improve workflow and patient outcomes.

Dr. Bluford is a dedicated advocate for public health and community outreach. Through her work, she has helped bridge access gaps for vulnerable populations and improved medication access through strategic coordination with insurance providers, assistance programs, and prior authorization processes. An active member of multiple professional organizations, she continues to uplift the profession through service, leadership, and excellence in pharmaceutical care.
