Passport fair is back and the first 100 students are free
The Nov. 10 Passport Fair aims to make travel opportunities more accessible.
ORANGEBURG, S.C. - South Carolina State University will host its upcoming Passport Fair on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025. from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. in Belcher Hall, Room 207.
Thanks to the support of President Conyers, the first 100 student applications will be covered completely free. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
How to secure your free passport
- Read the Q&A Guide here. (everything you need to know: fees, photo sizes, birth certificates, etc.)
- Register using the online form or scan the QR code in the guide.
- Complete your passport form (DS-11, DS-82, or DS-5504 but don’t sign it yet!)
- Gather your docs:
- Original birth certificate (long form only)
- Two passport photos (available at CVS & Walgreens)
- Government-issued ID
- Student ID
- Drop off your documents at Belcher Hall Room 145 by Nov. 5 to claim one of the 100 free spots.
- Show up at the fair on Nov. 10 with your ID and meet the Charleston Passport Center
team.
