Important: Financial clearance notice for students with outstanding balances

South Carolina State University is reminding all students with outstanding account balances of the immediate need to resolve all unpaid financial obligations to the University.

Students must have all outstanding balances cleared to:

• Complete registration for the Fall 2026 semester
• Apply for on-campus housing for Fall 2026
• Register for Summer School courses

Students who maintain unresolved balances will be prohibited from completing these important enrollment and housing processes until their accounts are brought into good standing.

To avoid delays in academic progress and campus housing eligibility, students with outstanding balances are strongly encouraged to take immediate action by completing the following steps: 

1. Contact your Financial Aid Associate to ensure you have explored and maximized all available financial aid resources, grants, scholarships, loans, or other eligible assistance.
2. Contact your Student Financial Services Associate to review your account balance and satisfy all financial clearance requirements, including payment options or approved arrangements.
